Ledge stone tuscany is made up of a variety of irregular shapes and sizes and roughly textured to create its rugged appeal. This versatile pattern will create a dramatic impression on the interior or exterior of your next project. This profile was created using a unique blend of natural stones. Mountain View Stone ledge stone can also be blended with field stone to create an old-style rustic look. Ledge stone is a stone veneer product measuring 1" to 2" thick and therefore thinner than traditional stone siding for easier, lighter handling. All our manufactured stone veneer products are suitable for interior applications such as stone accent walls or stone fireplaces as well as exterior applications such as stone veneer siding. Mountain View Stone ledge stone is available in boxes of 10 square foot flats, boxes of 7.5 lineal foot matching corners, and 150 square foot bulk crates.

Ledge stone is an individual stone product and is installed piece by piece. The individual stones will vary in size, shape, and thickness. In order to achieve the desired natural stone finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the individual stones in the correct pattern and install each stone one at a time. Mountain View Stone ledge stone veneer is made of Portland cement and we recommend installing using a Type S mortar.

    Ask a Question
    • If we need to order and additional box or two, should we be worried about slightly different coloring than the rest of the rock we have?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. The second order will most likely appear a little darker at first until the stone veneer fully cures. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    • I am looking at the ledge stone tuscany, I have 38.5 lineal feet of corners and 118 square feet of flats. I know the corners take up some of that square footage so how many boxes would I be looking at total for this project including some extra for broken and waste stone?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. The easiest way to determine the square footage of stone veneer flats you will need is to measure the length and to measure the height of area you will be installing our stone veneer on and multiply them together to get the total square footage of stone veneer flats needed for your project. Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. If you decide to use corners you will need to calculate the lineal feet required by simply measuring the height of all outside corners. Please feel free to email us the dimensions of your project at info@mountainviewstone.net and we can help you estimate the number of corners and flats you will need to complete your project. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    • How do recommend we clean the stone after it has been installed and on an on-going basis?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. We recommend using a "non-etching" cleaner. Prosoco Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner is typically a safe concrete cleaner to use for stone veneer, especially if it will be diluted by the time it is applied to the stone veneer. We always recommend testing any cleaner on a small non-installed piece if possible, first. The care and maintenance instructions can be downloaded at https://mountainviewstone.net/pages/post-purchase-support. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    • Our bathroom and bedroom will have more brown and tan colors. Would you recommend the rustic or the tuscany to better match this theme? Are the pictures presented on your website an accurate description of color of the ledge stone? Do you have any interior project pictures you can send to me?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. We have several images on our website, however you can see all of our images on our Pinterest gallery https://www.pinterest.com/mountainviewstone/. It always comes down to personal preference but either of those colors would work with your design. Rustic has a little more variation in color and does have some gray in it. Tuscany is a little more uniform with mainly brown tones with some highlights. All the images we have are shown on our website and they are true to color, we do not enhance or manipulate our photos at all. Some of the lifestyle images may look different, that is because of different lighting. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    • What is your normal lead time on shipping?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our website has a built-in freight calculator, simply add products to your cart, add your delivery address, and you will be provided with shipping options including shipping costs as well as estimated delivery times. Shipping costs will vary depending on the amount of stone veneer you purchase and where the product is being shipped to. Please note that the estimated delivery times do not include production times as some of our items are made to order. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    • I have a couple questions about ordering ledge stone tuscany. I need 5 boxes of corners and 9 boxes of flats. On your website it tells me there are no shipping methods available for my order. My next question is, is this available for pick up directly from your location in South Carolina? If so, what is the rough weight of a 10 square foot box?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. We apologize that you were unable to proceed with your order, your order meets minimum requirements, and we have verified that everything is working on our end. If you still experience the issue, please feel free to give us a call at 864-882-8960 Mon. - Fri. 8am - 5pm (EST) and we can help you process an order. Our production facility is in Fair Play, South Carolina which is in the upstate of South Carolina, but we ship orders all over the country. Orders can be picked up from our location, however we do need to process the order manually as our website does not allow you to select pick up as an option at this time. Please feel free to give us a call at 864-882-8960 Mon. - Fri. 8am - 5pm (EST) and we can help you process an order via pick up. Currently our production lead time is around two – three weeks. Each 10 square foot box weighs roughly 80-90lbs and corners weigh roughly 70-80lbs per box. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
