Mountain View Stone offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. SECTION 16 - TERMINATION
The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.
These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms of Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our site.
If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services (or any part thereof).
SECTION 17 - ENTIRE AGREEMENT
The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).

SECTION 21 - COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK NOTICE
Unless otherwise specified, all materials appearing on this site, including the text, site design, logos, graphics, icons, and images, as well as the selection, assembly, and arrangement thereof, are the sole property of Mountain View Stone, Copyright © 2006, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. You may use the content of this site only for the purpose of shopping on this site or placing an order on this site and for no other purpose. No materials from this site may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any form or by any means without our prior written permission.

SECTION 22 - CREDIT CARDS
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club. We also accept PayPal accounts, Apple Pay, Facebook Pay, Shop Pay and Venmo. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you).
Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed upon shipment of your order.
Mountain View Stone is not responsible for customer errors. If a customer enters incorrect data such as incorrect shipping address, etc. or orders the incorrect product, the cost to correct such errors will be solely the customer’s responsibility. Please see our Refund Policy for additional information.
SECTION 23 - PAYMENT PROCESSING
When a customer places an order on our Shopify store, they are typically charged at the time of purchase, regardless of when the order is shipped. This is standard practice for most e-commerce platforms, including Shopify.
According to Shopify's policies, when a customer completes a purchase, the payment is processed immediately, and the customer is charged at that time. This is true even if the product is made to order and takes several weeks to ship.
If you are concerned about being charged before shipping, you can review the relevant sections of Shopify's documentation that explain this process. You can find more information on Shopify's consumer protection guidelines and payment processing documentation.
SECTION 24 - MULTIPLE PRODUCT ORDERS
For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, unless you inform us otherwise. You will only be charged for products contained in a given shipment, plus any applicable shipping charges. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt. The entirety of this shipping charge may be applied to the first product(s) shipped on a multiple shipment order. Please see our Shipping Policy for additional information.
SECTION 25 - ORDER ACCEPTANCE POLICY
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. Mountain View Stone reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.
SECTION 26 - OTHER CONDITIONS
These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, regardless of whether Mountain View Stone. signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.
SECTION 27 - OUT-OF-STOCK PRODUCTS
We will ship your product as it becomes available. Please see our Shipping Policy for additional information. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment.
SECTION 28 - PRIVACY POLICY
Please read our full Privacy Policy.
SECTION 29 - DISCOUNT CODES
Discount codes are valid for a limited time only. Mountain View Stone reserves the right to modify or cancel discount codes at any time.
Each discount code can be used only once, unless otherwise specified.
Only one discount code can be used per order and therefore cannot be combined with other offers using discount codes.
"ShippingDiscount" discount code has a minimum purchase amount of $1,000.00, before tax and before shipping costs.
If you return items purchased using a discount code, we will subtract the value of the discount code from your return credit.
Mountain View Stone reserves the right to void any transactions where prohibited.
SECTION 30 - ORDER CANCELATIONS
All cancelled orders are subject to a 3% processing fee.
All cancelled orders that have been confirmed to ship (orders with a scheduled carrier pick up) are subject to a 3% processing fee and a $100 re-stocking fee.
Orders that have shipped cannot be cancelled. To cancel a shipped order a return must be processed.
Please see our Refund Policy for additional information.
SECTION 31 - RETURNS / REFUND POLICY
Please read our full Refund Policy.
Our Refund Policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. For longer lead time orders our Refund Policy lasts 30 days from expected date of delivery.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. For stone that has been installed, unfortunately we cannot accept returns, installation of product is acceptance of product.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
All sample orders are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
All shipping costs are non-refundable.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your items. Mountain View Stone cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, therefore all returns must be shipped using a trackable shipping service and it is highly recommended you purchase shipping insurance. Mountain View Stone can also arrange the return shipping for you. If we handle the return shipping and you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
All non-stock color products are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded. Non-stock products are defined as items that are currently not available on our website but are offered in our standard colors.
All custom color and custom order products are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully select the profile and color of stone veneer before placing an order. While we provide both online images and physical samples to assist with your decision, each has limitations. Images may not capture the full range of variation in color and shape, while small samples are intended to show texture, weight, and general appearance, not the complete diversity of a full installation. For the best results, we strongly recommend using both images and samples together when making your selection. Returns due to incorrect color or profile choices are not the responsibility of Mountain View Stone.
Returns for customers who are not satisfied with the final product that did not order a sample will not be accepted. We strongly recommend ordering a sample of each product in advance of placing your product order opposed to ordering products solely based on images from our website. All of our completed installation images are customer submitted, and they are true to color, we do not enhance or manipulate our photos at all. There may be some differences from image to image, however this variation is caused by different lighting conditions and image quality. Additionally, images can look different from screen to screen.
While we’re happy to offer suggestions to help match your existing stone, please note that the final decision on what to order is entirely the customer’s responsibility. Matching existing stone, whether natural or manufactured, can be quite challenging due to variations in color, texture, age, and lighting conditions. For this reason, we strongly recommend ordering samples in advance to evaluate the best possible match before placing your final order. This extra step can help avoid costly mistakes and ensure a more cohesive finished look. Unfortunately, returns for customers who are not satisfied with the final product that did not order a sample will not be accepted.
If you need assistance estimating how much stone veneer you will need for your project, we’re happy to help. Simply provide us with some basic information, such as dimensions, surface types, and layout details, and we can offer a rough calculation to point you in the right direction. However, please note that our estimates are meant as general guidance only. For the most accurate results, we strongly recommend taking detailed, on-site measurements and consulting with your installer or contractor. The final responsibility for ordering the correct quantity of materials lies with the customer. We are not responsible for any errors, miscalculations, or incorrect quantities ordered. Be sure to double-check your figures to ensure a smooth and successful project.
Refunds (if applicable): Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. If you return items purchased using a discount code, we will subtract the value of the discount code from your return credit. Mountain View Stone cannot guarantee when a refund will arrive.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable): If you haven’t received a refund yet, don't panic, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. Mountain View Stone cannot guarantee when a refund will arrive.
For post purchase support please visit our post purchase support page or contact us at info@mountainviewstone.net.

It is the customer's responsibility to inspect their order during the delivery appointment and note any missing items with the shipping company. In order to file a freight claim with the shipping company any and all missing items must be noted at the time of delivery. Mountain View Stone is not responsible for lost shipments. In the unlikely event your order is lost we will remake and reship the order to you at no charge. Any additional compensation for lost shipments is between you and the shipping company.
Mountain View Stone is not responsible for customer errors. If a customer enters incorrect data such as incorrect shipping address, etc. or orders the incorrect product, the cost to correct such errors will be solely the customer’s responsibility. Please see our Refund Policy for additional information.
In order to deliver our product safely and securely a delivery appointment is required. The shipping company will contact you via phone and/or email (the phone number and email address used to complete your purchase on our website) to schedule a delivery appointment. If the shipping company is unable to contact you to schedule a delivery appointment they will contact us and we will then have 24 hours to attempt to contact you via phone and/or email (the phone number and email address used to complete your purchase on our website) to schedule a delivery appointment (in some urgent cases we may even attempt to contact you via SMS messaging). If we are unable to contact you, your order will automatically be returned to our facility. From there, you can request a refund less the original shipping charge and the return shipping charge (as per or Refund Policy: all shipping costs are non-refundable), or you can request to have the order reshipped, however, Mountain View Stone is not responsible for the additional shipping charges to reship your order.
Have questions about our shipping costs, please see our blog post on LTL shipping costs.
Customer pick-ups are available by appointment only. Once your order is ready, our team will contact you in advance to schedule a convenient pick-up time at our facility. For verification purposes, a valid government-issued photo ID matching the name used to place the order is required at pick-up, along with a copy of your order confirmation (printed or digital). Please note that our stone veneer is a heavy-weight product and requires appropriate transportation equipment capable of safely handling the load (such as a suitable truck or trailer). If you are unsure about the total weight of your order or vehicle requirements, please email us at info@mountainviewstone.net prior to your appointment for assistance. While our team will assist with loading your order, the customer is fully responsible for properly securing the load and transporting it safely. We are not responsible for any damage that occurs during transit. Our stone veneer is packaged and palletized for LTL freight shipping, and carrier trucks are typically equipped with lift gates and pump trucks to safely handle the product. When transported without this specialized equipment, there is an increased risk of damage. Any damage that occurs during customer-arranged transport is solely the responsibility of the customer.
Manufactured stone veneer is classified as a heavy-weight product, requiring careful handling during shipping. Due to its weight and bulk, it is securely packaged and shipped on pallets to ensure safe transport and prevent damage. Palletized shipping helps distribute the weight evenly and allows for easier unloading at the destination. For reference here is what our 150 square foot bulk crates look like:

SECTION 33 - TAXES
Mountain View Stone shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the same state. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.
SECTION 34 - INSTALLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
Read our full installation instructions available at: https://mountainviewstone.net/pages/post-purchase-support
To maintain our 50-year manufacturer's warranty, you must follow our installation instructions. Failure to comply will result in our manufacturer's warranty being voided. Please see our warranty information available at: https://mountainviewstone.net/
The installation of our stone veneer is deemed acceptance of our stone veneer. Stone veneer that has been installed cannot be returned or refunded. If you are unhappy with our stone veneer, please do not install/cease installation immediately and contact us for assistance.
Our stone veneer is suitable for interior and exterior installations, including (but not limited to): kitchens, bathrooms, accent walls, fireplaces, BBQs, wood burning stoves, chimneys, etc.
Our stone veneer is suitable for columns, posts, retaining walls, foundations, and underpinning, however, for aesthetic purposes only. Our stone veneer is not to be used as/for structural support. For installations where our stone veneer has been installed as/for structural support, warranty claims will be denied.
While stone veneer excels in wall applications, it is not suitable for flooring due to its lack of durability, uneven texture, and susceptibility to cracking under foot traffic. For a stone-like floor, it’s best to opt for natural stone, porcelain tile, or other materials specifically designed for flooring use. For installations where our stone veneer has been installed as flooring, warranty claims will be denied.
Installation is the exact same for all of stone veneer profiles. The majority of our stone profiles are individual stone profiles. The individual stones will vary in size, shape, and thickness. To achieve the desired natural stone finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the individual stones in the correct pattern and install each stone one at a time. Our ready stack profile is a mini panel stone product and is installed in sections at a time. Each panel measures 4” high but will vary in length (5.5”, 8.25”, 11”, 16.5”). Each ready stack panel has multiple stones on each panel face. To achieve the desired finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the panels in the correct pattern and install each panel one at a time.
Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. If you decide to use corners you will need to install corners first, then install flats. Outside corners are different from inside corners. For inside corners, our flats are used. Simply run a flat piece into the corner and then a flat piece on the adjacent side.
Accessories are not required but they offer a professional finish around electrical outlets, light fixtures, windowsills, etc. If you decide to use accessories you will need to install the accessories first, then install flats.
For installations involving mantels, mantels should always be securely attached to the substrate first, ensuring proper support, while the stone veneer is then installed up to the mantel for a seamless finish. Never attach or anchor objects directly to stone veneer.
Stone veneer should always be installed from the bottom up, never from the top down.
Industry standards recommend maintaining the following ground clearances: above soil or mulch: a minimum of 4 inches of clearance from grade is required to prevent direct moisture contact. Above hard surfaces (concrete, patios, driveways): maintain at least 2 inches of space to prevent moisture wicking from standing water. For installations where the above ground clearances have not been followed, warranty claims will be denied.
As the manufacturer, our recommendation is to always use a moisture barrier and a metal lathe when installing our stone veneer on all substrates except masonry surfaces (brick, block, concrete). For installations where a moisture barrier and a metal lathe have not been used, warranty claims will be denied.
Our stone veneer must only be installed using Type S mortar to ensure proper adhesion, durability, and long-term performance. Type S mortar is the best choice due to its superior strength, moisture resistance, and long-term durability. While adhesives may work in select applications, they do not offer the same level of security, especially for exterior or high-heat areas. If you want a long-lasting, structurally sound stone veneer installation, stick with Type S mortar for the best results. For installations where Type S mortar has not been used, warranty claims will be denied.
We are unable to provide guidance on grout selection or application, as this falls outside the scope of our product support. We recommend using a Type S mortar, and from there, it’s important to follow the specific instructions provided by the grout manufacturer to ensure proper performance and appearance.
Before you begin installation, we recommend unboxing and sorting all of your stone veneer to get a clear view of the different shapes, sizes, and color variations included in your order. You can even lay the pieces on the ground or floor to plan your layout, adjust the pattern, and achieve the most natural, balanced look before securing them in place.
Use care to avoid chipping the stone veneer when installing and when cleaning/maintaining. Chipping is deemed damage, not a defect and therefore chipping warranty claims will be denied.
A concrete sealer is not required, however, sealing with a concrete sealer will add protection especially over the mortar joints. Please keep in mind that different concrete sealers will affect the appearance of the stone veneer. A matte (or flat) finish will have little to know impact to the finished look of the stone veneer whereas a gloss finish will darken the stone veneer and have a wet look. We recommend testing your concrete sealer on a piece of stone veneer that has not been installed to ensure you are happy with the finished appearance after applying concrete sealer. We highly recommend sealing your stone veneer if you are installing it in a kitchen, bathroom, or outdoors. For installations in kitchens, bathrooms, or outdoors where the installation has not been sealed, warranty claims will be denied.
Since stone veneer is not inherently waterproof, proper installation techniques are crucial to preventing moisture-related issues such as mold, efflorescence, and structural damage. Install a high-quality water-resistive barrier (WRB) behind the stone veneer to prevent moisture from reaching the underlying structure. This acts as the first line of defense against water infiltration. Proper flashing should be installed around windows, doors, and other vulnerable areas to direct water away from the wall system and prevent pooling behind the veneer. A drainage plane or weep screed should be incorporated to allow water that penetrates behind the stone to escape rather than become trapped, which could lead to deterioration. For installations lacking proper drainage systems, warranty claims will be denied.
Our stone veneer has not been tested for fire rating, however, due to its composition, our stone veneer is classified as a non-combustible material, meaning it will not catch fire or contribute to flame spread. However, while the stone veneer itself is non-combustible, the substrate and adhesives used during installation may be affected by heat exposure. Fire codes, local building codes, and manufacturer recommendations specify safe clearances from heat sources. For example: wood-burning stoves typically require a minimum clearance of 12-36 inches from combustible materials. Fireplaces and BBQs should have a protective barrier or non-combustible backing to prevent heat transfer. Always check fire codes, local building codes and the manufacturer’s guidelines to determine the correct clearance for your project. Our stone veneer should never come in direct contact with flames such as (but not limited to) inside a firebox. For installations near heat sources where fire codes, local building codes, and minimum clearances from heat sources have not been followed, warranty claims will be denied. For installations where stone veneer comes in direct contact with flames or direct contact with a heat source, warranty claims will be denied.
For installations using our brick veneer, our brick veneer square footage per box takes into account using the industry standard 3/8" mortar joint around all 4 sides of each brick. If a smaller grout line is used, the coverage per box will be less than 25 square feet.

Our stone veneer is constructed of multi-colored concrete, and it is made from natural, environmentally friendly materials, therefore variations in color may occur - this is not a defect but rather a characteristic of our stone veneer. Color imperfections are part of the overall color design and aesthetic of our stone veneer.
During manufacturing the coloring powder gets added dry and then water is applied to activate the bonding agents, sometimes the water can create light spots as it moves the coloring around (it can be more noticeable on the corners based on the molds we use) but this is not a defect, rather part of the finished look of our stone veneer - this variation makes our stone veneer appear more realistic.
The colors of concrete products can change over time due to several factors including (but not limited to): moisture changes in the environment/product, freeze/thaw cycles, sunlight exposure, chemical staining (from fertilizers, ice melts, and other chemicals), etc.
Efflorescence is a white, powdery residue that may occasionally appear due to moisture drawing salts to the surface. It can be removed with a dry brush or a specialized efflorescence cleaner but always test cleaners on a small area first. Efflorescence in no way affects the structural integrity of our stone veneer.
Avoid harsh chemicals as these can damage the stone’s surface or mortar joints. We recommend using a "non-etching" cleaner. Prosoco Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner is typically a safe concrete cleaner to use for stone veneer, especially if it will be diluted by the time it is applied to the stone veneer. We always recommend testing any cleaner on a small non-installed piece first.
Use care to avoid chipping the stone veneer when installing and when cleaning/maintaining. Chipping is deemed damage, not a defect and therefore chipping warranty claims will be denied.
