Stone blending is an easy way to create a custom look unique to your exact style and design.
The art of stone blending involves skillfully combining various stone elements to achieve a balanced and cohesive aesthetic. By carefully selecting stones with complementary colors, textures, and patterns, designers can achieve stunning results. Stone blending adds depth and character to spaces while showcasing the versatility and beauty of different stone materials.
Create a Custom Appearance
Multiple stone veneer styles can be blended together to create a custom appearance. The image to the right combines hackett stone buck mountain and stack stone buck mountain.
Further Refinement
Varying the percentage of each profile creates drastically different looks, which enables further refinement of the style you are trying to achieve. The image to the left combines ledge stone aspen and lime stone aspen.

The 80/20 Stone Blend

The 50/50 Stone Blend
Scroll down to learn moreThe 50/50 stone blend is more of balanced finish as most of the stones are similar in size. The 50/50 stone blend changes the design by adding different stone shapes.

Same Profile, Different Color Blend

80/20 Stone Blend
Typically, blends of smaller stone profiles and larger stone profiles are combined at a rate of 80% smaller profiles (ledge stone or stack stone) and 20% larger profiles (field stone, lime stone or hackett stone). Shown below is 80% ledge stone aspen combined with 20% lime stone aspen.

50/50 Stone Blend
It is also possible to blend two smaller profiles together (stack stone and ledge stone) but we recommend a 50% stack stone and 50% ledge stone blend when combining these two profiles. Shown below is 50% ledge stone rustic combined with 50% stack stone rustic.

Same Profile, Different Color Blend
The last type of stone blending is to combine multiple colors together of the same profile in varying percentages to achieve the custom appearance you desire. Shown below is 50% field stone outback combined with 50% field stone rustic.
