Size

Mountain View Stone stack stone black forest is a profile that features a combination of sizes that creates an authentic appearance. This stone has drastic variations of thickness, depth, and character copied directly from nature. The stacked stone pattern is clean, contemporary and a favorite among designers and architects. Stack stone is a stone veneer product measuring 1" to 2.5" thick and therefore thinner than traditional stone siding for easier, lighter handling. All our manufactured stone veneer products are suitable for interior applications such as stone accent walls or stone fireplaces as well as exterior applications such as stone veneer siding. Mountain View Stone stack stone is available in boxes of 10 square foot flats, boxes of 7.5 lineal foot matching corners, and 150 square foot bulk crates.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Are we going to need a forklift onsite when delivered?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. The delivery truck will have a liftgate and pallet jack to unload your order, no loading dock required, but it is a lot easier to unload and move around with a forklift if available on site. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

  • What is the timeline for a large order? I am looking to get stack stone black forest, 1,000 square foot flats and 150 lineal foot in corners. Are these ready to be manufactured or ready to ship or what is the timeline from purchase to delivery to Las Vegas 89131?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our website has a built-in freight calculator, simply add products to your cart, add your delivery address, and you will be provided with shipping options including shipping costs as well as estimated delivery times. Shipping costs will vary depending on the amount of stone veneer you purchase and where the product is being shipped to. Please note that the estimated delivery times do not include production times as our items are made to order. Currently our production lead time is around four – six weeks. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

  • Can you install this product directly on painted drywall? Any special requirements if installing on a 15' tall wall?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our installation instructions can be downloaded at https://mountainviewstone.net/pages/post-purchase-support. For the surface prep, which is the most important step, you will need to install a moisture barrier and then install wire lath over that. Make sure the nails or screws for wire lath hit studs to ensure a good foundation. Your scratch coat goes over the wire lath and then the stone veneer. We recommend our stone veneer and brick veneer be installed with Type S mortar. Mortar is recommended for installation opposed to an adhesive as mortar is cheaper than adhesive, and when installing with an adhesive you must hold the stone in place until the adhesive sets which really slows down installation time, whereas mortar instantly holds. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

  • Hello, do you ship to Iowa if I placed an order? Thanks.

  • I am installing a 10’ x 10’ x 10” stack stone enclosure. How many corners will I need, using the black forest stack stone veneer? The product description for the corners seems to be a bit vague.

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our stone veneer is suitable for interior and exterior installations, including columns. The easiest way to determine the square footage of stone veneer flats you will need is to measure the length and to measure the height of area you will be installing our stone veneer on and multiply them together to get the total square footage of stone veneer flats needed for your project. Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. If you decide to use corners you will need to calculate the lineal feet required by simply measuring the height of all outside corners as our corners are sold by the lineal foot. On each product page there are options for both flats and corners (to the right of the main product image). Please feel free to email us the dimensions of your project at info@mountainviewstone.net and we can help you estimate the number of corners and flats you will need to complete your project. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

  • I want to order some stones from you. I was wondering if you ship to Dutton, MT 59433. It would be the black forest color. My question is how long would it take to ship to us, and how much would it cost to ship to us?

Our website has a built-in freight calculator, simply add products to your cart, add your delivery address, and you will be provided with shipping options including shipping costs as well as estimated delivery times. • I was looking at the stack stone black forest. I will be needing about 1200 square feet. Can this product be delivered to Muscle Shoals, Alabama and for what cost? Also is the product available in a short amount of time?

  • Hello, I am working on putting together an order for the stack stone black forest and have a question on the corners. From the website, you sell 1 box of corners at 7.5 lineal foot increments. Does this mean that I can cover a corner that is 7.5 feet high with 1 box? So, if I have two corners that are floor to ceiling (14 feet), I will need 4 boxes of corner stock? A drawing on the website would really help with this question. Please let me know as I would like to order as soon as possible. Thank you.

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. If you decide to use corners you will need to calculate the lineal feet required by simply measuring the height of all outside corners as our corners are sold by the lineal foot. • Hello, does it include the trim stone for finishing off the top? Do you offer capstones? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our stone veneer does not come with a top ledge piece; however, we offer this as an accessory at https://mountainviewstone.net/products/window-sill. Our sills measure 3" deep, by 17.5" long, however you will most likely have a grout joint in between them so for measuring purposes please use 18", by 2.5" tall in the back and 2" tall in the front as our sills have approximately a 1/2" slope from the back to the front for water runoff. Installation is easy, simply install the back flat to the wall, no need to tilt or angle them down. Also, our sills have a drip edge groove cut into the bottom side so water cannot run behind the stone veneer installed underneath the sills. We offer capstones in various sizes. Please feel free to email us at info@mountainviewstone.net and we can provide you more information on our capstones. Please let us know if you have any more questions!
