Can you tell me from where the stone is shipping so I can get an idea of time in transit? Also, does it come on a lift gate truck, or do I need folks there to run my Pettibone to off load?

Our production facility is in Fair Play, South Carolina which is in the upstate of South Carolina, but we ship orders all over the country. The delivery truck will have a liftgate and pallet jack to unload your order, no loading dock required, but it is a lot easier to unload and move around with a forklift if available on site. Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. What do you recommend using to clean the face of the stone? Will a mixture of vinegar and water work? 4 parts water, 1 part vinegar?

Prosoco Sure Klean Light Duty Concrete Cleaner is typically a safe concrete cleaner to use for stone veneer, especially if it will be diluted by the time it is applied to the stone veneer. What, if any, of your stone veneers are non combustible and can be used directly on a fireplace?

All of our stone veneer is non-combustible, however, it should not be installed in the firebox itself, a fire brick should be used for lining fireboxes. How much does the black forest stack stone weigh per square foot? What are the stones made of?

Each 150 square foot box weighs roughly 1450lbs. Pallet dimensions for a 150 square foot pallet are 48" x 40" x 28". Our stone veneer is man-made of Portland cement. Mountain View Stone strictly monitors every step of the production process for quality control. Does either the ledge stone or stack stone applied with using mortar?

For the surface prep, which is the most important step, you will need to install a moisture barrier and then install wire lath over that. Make sure the nails or screws for wire lath hit studs to ensure a good foundation. Your scratch coat goes over the wire lath and then the stone veneer. We recommend our stone veneer and brick veneer be installed with Type S mortar. Mortar is recommended for installation opposed to an adhesive as mortar is cheaper than adhesive, and when installing with an adhesive you must hold the stone in place until the adhesive sets which really slows down installation time, whereas mortar instantly holds. Hello! We recently received our sample of stone veneer. We love everything about it. However, we received 4-5 individual stones, and we were expecting like a square foot sheet or something. If we purchase a box, will that also be individual stones that we then hang up one by one? We are looking at covering about a 100 square foot area. Thank you.

There are 10 square feet of flats per box and 7.5 lineal feet of corners per box. The individual stones will vary in size, shape, and thickness. To achieve the desired natural stone finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the individual stones in the correct pattern and install each stone one at a time. If you are looking for a panel system, our ready stack profile is a mini panel stone product and is installed in sections at a time https://mountainviewstone.net/collections/ready-stack. Each panel measures 4” high but will vary in length (5.5”, 8.25”, 11”, 16.5”) and thickness (1.5”-2.5”). Each ready stack panel has multiple stones on each panel face. To achieve the desired finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the panels in the correct pattern and install each panel one at a time.
