Lime Stone - Aspen
Lime Stone - Aspen
Mountain View Stone limestone aspen captures the cool, crisp essence of alpine landscapes with a palette of soft whites, light grays, and warm taupes. This stone veneer evokes the charm of a mountain retreat, making it ideal for creating inviting spaces such as fireplaces, accent walls, and outdoor facades that exude a fresh, airy feel. The textured surface mimics the natural beauty of real stone, providing a rustic yet refined look. With its lightweight and easy-to-install design, our aspen color combines the elegance of natural stone with modern durability, perfect for both contemporary and traditional decor.
A classic hand chiseled stone with a distinctive embedded rough texture precisely designed to mimic quarried and cut lime stone. Mountain View Stone lime stone is shaped for bold, traditional statements with clean contemporary lines. Its old-world appearance with rugged rectangular ashlar shapes lends itself to a wide variety of architectural styles adding elegance to any residential or commercial application. Also known as rough cut or Austin stone.
Lime stone is an individual stone product measuring 1.5" to 2.5" thick and therefore thinner than traditional stone siding for easier, lighter handling. All our manufactured stone veneer products are suitable for interior applications such as stone accent walls or stone fireplaces as well as exterior applications such as stone veneer siding. Mountain View Stone lime stone is available in boxes of 10 square foot flats, boxes of 6 lineal foot matching corners, and 150 square foot bulk crates.

I am looking at purchase two 150 square feet boxes. Do the boxes come with corners? Can I purchase more corners if needed?
Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our 150 square foot bulk crates contain 150 square feet of flats only. Our corners are offered in lineal foot cases and sold separately. Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. If you decide to use corners you will need to calculate the lineal feet required by simply measuring the height of all outside corners as our corners are sold by the lineal foot. On each product page there are options for both flats and corners (to the right of the main product image). Please feel free to email us the dimensions of your project at info@mountainviewstone.net and we can help you estimate the number of corners and flats you will need to complete your project. Please let us know if you have any more questions!

I plan to build a wall inside my living room on painted drywall. What are the types of mortar I can use besides Type S? I would like something simple since I have no experience. Thank you.
Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our installation instructions can be downloaded at https://mountainviewstone.net/pages/post-purchase-support. For the surface prep, which is the most important step, you will need to install a moisture barrier and then install wire lath over that. Make sure the nails or screws for wire lath hit studs to ensure a good foundation. Your scratch coat goes over the wire lath and then the stone veneer. We recommend our stone veneer and brick veneer be installed with Type S mortar. Mortar is recommended for installation opposed to an adhesive as mortar is cheaper than adhesive, and when installing with an adhesive you must hold the stone in place until the adhesive sets which really slows down installation time, whereas mortar instantly holds. Please let us know if you have any more questions!
