Custom color requirements and details

To ensure consistency and satisfaction, we’ve developed a streamlined process for all custom color orders:

1. Setup fee: a one-time $100 setup fee applies to all custom colors. This includes a pre-production sample that will be sent to you for approval before your full order is produced.

2. Minimum order: all custom color orders require a minimum order quantity of 2,000 square feet. If your project is smaller, please contact us directly, as we may be able to accommodate you depending on our production schedule (less than minimum fees will apply).

3. Per foot premium: custom colors are subject to a $0.50 per square foot (and $0.50 per lineal foot of corner) premium in addition to the standard price of your chosen stone profile.

4. Final sale: because custom colors are made specifically for your project, all custom orders are final sale. Please review your pre-production sample carefully before approving production.

Can I choose specific stone sizes?

A common question we receive is whether customers can choose specific stone sizes from our existing stone profiles. Because of how our stone veneer is molded and manufactured, individual stone sizes cannot be selected. Each box of stone contains a natural mix of sizes and shapes that are designed to be installed together for a realistic and balanced appearance. If you’re aiming for a very specific layout or want to sort for particular sizes, we recommend ordering more stone than your project requires. This allows you to hand-select the pieces you want to install while setting aside others for future use or touch-ups. This approach gives you more flexibility in achieving your desired look while maintaining the natural variation that makes stone veneer so authentic.

Can I change an existing stone color?

Another common question we receive is whether customers can modify a stock stone veneer blend, such as removing a color or adjusting the proportion of certain tones. Due to the way our stones are manufactured and color-blended, it is not possible to change, isolate, or order individual colors from an existing blend. Each stock stone veneer color is carefully designed with a range of complementary colors and natural variation to replicate the look of real stone. If you prefer certain shades within a blend, the best approach is to order extra material so you can hand-select your preferred pieces during installation. This ensures your finished project highlights your favorite tones while maintaining a balanced and natural appearance. For larger projects or if hand-selection isn’t practical, the custom color process described above is the ideal solution to achieve the exact look you want.

1. Can I order a smaller quantity than 2,000 sq. ft.? Our standard minimum order for custom colors is 2,000 sq. ft., but if your project is smaller, please contact us directly. In some cases, we can accommodate smaller runs depending on our production schedule.

2. How long does it take to produce a custom color? Custom color production times can vary, but typically it takes 4–6 weeks from the time your pre-production sample is approved.

3. Is the setup fee refundable? The $100 setup fee covers the creation and shipment of your pre-production sample and is non-refundable.

4. Can I make changes after approving the sample? Once a sample is approved and production begins, changes cannot be made. All custom color orders are final sale.

5. What if I need a replacement or extra stone in the future? We recommend ordering a small overage (10-15%) to ensure you have matching stone for future repairs or additions, as custom colors may not be perfectly replicated later.

6. Do custom colors affect the warranty? No. All of our custom manufactured stone veneer is backed by the same limited warranty as our standard colors, provided installation guidelines are followed.
