Can this product be installed near heat like around a grill? To enclose the back bottom of it, or to put around outdoor fire pit?

For the surface prep, which is the most important step, you will need to install a moisture barrier and then install wire lath over that. Make sure the nails or screws for wire lath hit studs to ensure a good foundation. Your scratch coat goes over the wire lath and then the stone veneer. We recommend our stone veneer and brick veneer be installed with Type S mortar. Mortar is recommended for installation opposed to an adhesive as mortar is cheaper than adhesive, and when installing with an adhesive you must hold the stone in place until the adhesive sets which really slows down installation time, whereas mortar instantly holds. I am applying your ready stack to a bar exterior side. The bar is built on top of a 4” concrete slab outdoors. Should I apply the stone directly on the concrete slab or 1/2” above it? If on the slab, should I apply mortar as well?

I have several ready stack mini panels that have some uneven edges making them difficult to install without gaps. What is the best method to overcome this issue?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. Our stone veneer is not real stone, it is man-made and made of Portland cement. You can cut the stone veneer with a diamond cutting wheel, skill saw, or tile saw with a diamond cutting blade and grind the edges off with a side grinder. Hello, I am building some 16” x 16” pillars that are about 56” in height. I would like to know how much stone would be needed to cover these in your ready stack alabama? Not sure how this would be measured to order stone with the corners. There is a total of 10 pillars that I would need to cover with stone. Thanks for your help with this matter.

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. The easiest way to determine the square footage of stone veneer flats you will need is to measure the length and to measure the height of area you will be installing our stone veneer on and multiply them together to get the total square footage of stone veneer flats needed for your project. Corners are not required but they offer a professional finish by wrapping perfectly around a 90 degree outside corner. Ready stack, are these panels or stone pieces? Also, are these real stone or some sort of material which give stone look?

Each panel measures 4” high but will vary in length (5.5”, 8.25”, 11”, 16.5”) and thickness (1.5”-2.5”). Each ready stack panel has multiple stones on each panel face. To achieve the desired finish as shown in our images it is up to the installer to arrange the panels in the correct pattern and install each panel one at a time. Our stone veneer is man-made of Portland cement. Mountain View Stone strictly monitors every step of the production process for quality control. Can this stone veneer be used as flooring?

Thank you for your question and interest in our stone veneer. We do not recommend using our stone veneer for a flat surface as the variation in depth would create an uneven surface.
